This 12-day family itinerary in Sri Lanka begins with arrival in Negombo, followed by a journey to Habarana via Dambulla. Highlights include exploring the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, experiencing a jungle village adventure with activities like a tractor ride, catamaran rowing, and traditional mud hut making, along with a picnic in nature. The trip continues to Kandy, where travelers can enjoy a leisurely stroll around Kandy Lake, experience a family-friendly zip line through the Ella treetops, and hike to the scenic Ravana Falls for a refreshing dip. Comfortable private transportation and a selection of recommended accommodations are provided throughout the trip. The itinerary may be adjusted if fuel or tax prices change.
11 Nights / 12 Days
Day 01: Arrival in Negombo
- Walk the wide sandy beaches or watch fishing boats glide across the water.
Day 02: Negombo to Habarana (via Dambulla)
- Journey to Habarana, stopping at the colorful Dambulla Cave Temples filled with ancient murals and statues.
- Treasure hunt among the caves for hidden animal carvings.
Day 03: Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Jungle Village Adventure
- Morning climb of the legendary Sigiriya (Lion Rock). Older kids will love the scramble parents may help little legs with the ascent.
- Afternoon Join a village tractor ride, row a catamaran on the lake, and watch how authentic Sri Lankan mud huts are made.
Day 04: Minneriya National Park Jeep Safari
- Head out for a real wildlife safari, hoping to spot elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, and exotic birds.
- Have a picnic lunch in the wild.
- In the evening, family campfire with local marshmallows and star stories.
Day 05: Polonnaruwa Ancient City by Bicycle
- Pedal through the ruins of Sri Lanka’s medieval city. Ruined temples, giant Buddha statues, and monkeys galore create a fantasy adventure for kids.
- Optional: Dress up as ancient royals for family photos.
Day 06: Habarana to Kandy
- Drive into the lush hill country toward Kandy.
- Stop by a spice garden for a kid-friendly cooking class try shaping coconut roti and tasting sweet kithul treacle.
Day 07: Kandy Experiences
- Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (with special kid-sized sarongs/scarves).
- Enjoy a Kandyan dance lesson kids can try the drums and elephant masks.
- Stroll around the peaceful Kandy Lake.
Day 08: Scenic Train Ride to Ella
- Board one of the world’s most beautiful trains. Kids can peek from safe open windows as the train winds by waterfalls and Tea Mountains.
- Arrive in Ella to unwind and explore.
- Note: You must reserve your train tickets before a month from your train journey date.
Day 09: Zip Line & Waterfall Adventure, Ella
- Fly through the treetops on the Ella zip line (with lines suitable for children).
- Hike to Ravana Falls and dip toes in the cool mountain water.
- Evening: Build a mini raft with leaves and set it afloat in a stream.
Day 10: Udawalawe National Park & Elephant Sanctuary
- Spend the morning on safari spotting wild elephants and buffalo.
- Visit an ethical elephant transit home and watch baby elephants being fed and prepared for release into the wild.
Day 11: Mirissa Beach & Whale Watching
- Head south for some sea and sand.
- Take a boat trip for a family whale- and dolphin-watching adventure (seasonal).
Day 12: Colombo City Park Play & Departure
- Return to Colombo. Let kids enjoy Viharamahadevi Park’s playground, toy train, and splash fountains.
- Snack at Galle Face Green and, if time permits, fly kites with local families.
- Transfer to the airport for departure.

- Normal check in/out time of hotels is 1200 hrs. We can request for early check in or late check outs but these cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation made 21 days or more before the tour start date will receive a full refund without bank chargers.
- Cancellation made 14-21 days before the tour start date will receive 50% refund without bank chargers.
- Cancellation made 07-14 days before the tour start date will receive 25% refund without bank chargers.
- Cancellation made less than 07 days before the tour start date or no shows are non-refundable.
