This 14-night, 15-day cultural and heritage itinerary offers an immersive journey through some of Sri Lanka’s most historic and culturally rich sites. Beginning in Colombo, travelers can enjoy an urban cultural introduction with evening strolls in vibrant districts or by the ocean. The journey includes visits to ancient temples such as the Munneswaram Temple, and extends to historic cities like Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, where you can explore archaeological ruins and tranquil gardens. A coastal stay in Trincomalee adds natural beauty and relaxation, complemented by a visit to the unique Kanniya Hot Springs. The itinerary also features a stroll through the colonial-era Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya, offering a glimpse of the country’s rich natural heritage. Day 01: Arrival in Colombo
- Land at Bandaranaike International Airport.
- Check in to a comfortable hotel.
- Take an evening stroll in the Dutch Hospital district or watch the sunset at Galle Face Green for an urban cultural introduction.
Day 02: Colombo to Chilaw
- Drive north along the coast to Chilaw.
- Explore Munneswaram Temple, an ancient and revered Hindu site, known for its Dravidian architecture and vibrant rituals.
- Overnight in Chilaw for an immersive small-town experience.
Day 03: Chilaw to Anuradhapura
- Head inland to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s first ancient capital.
- Visit massive stupas, ancient monasteries, and the sacred Bodhi tree.
Day 04: Anuradhapura & Mihintale
- Morning exploration of more ancient sites.
- Afternoon visit to Mihintale, famed as the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and climb the stone steps for panoramic views.
- Evening free for local dining.
Day 05: Anuradhapura to Polonnaruwa
- Transfer east to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital.
- Discover monumental Buddha statues, palace ruins, and intricate moonstones in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Overnight in Polonnaruwa.
Day 06: Polonnaruwa to Trincomalee
- Drive northeast to Trincomalee on the east coast.
- Settle into a coastal hotel.
- Evening walk on Nilaveli, Dutch Bay or Uppuveli Beach.
Day 07: Trincomalee Heritage Sites
- Visit Koneswaram Temple on Swami Rock, a stunning Hindu temple with ocean vistas and dramatic Lover’s Leap viewpoint.
- Explore Fort Frederick, a colonial fortress also home to spotted deer.
- Tour the vibrant Sri Badrakali Amman Temple and witness local rituals.
- Learn local legends and the city’s strategic naval history at the Navy Museum (Hoods Tower).
Day 08: Trincomalee Spiritual Sites & Nature
- Visit Velgam Vehera, an ancient Buddhist temple nestled in the jungle.
- See Trincomalee War Cemetery, commemorating World War II soldiers.
- Afternoon visit to Kanniya Hot Springs for a unique local experience.
- Whale watching (April–September).
Day 09: Trincomalee to Sigiriya
- Head inland to Sigiriya.
- Climb Sigiriya Lion’s Rock Fortress for unmatched views and ancient frescoes.
Day 10: Habarana Village & Minneriya Safari
- Experience rural life: village walk, bullock cart ride, or Sri Lankan cooking class.
- Optional afternoon safari in Minneriya for wild elephant sightings.
Day 11: Sigiriya to Kandy
- Dambulla Cave Temples with striking Buddhist art.
- Depart towards Kandy, stopping at a spice garden in Matale.
- In Kandy, stroll around the lake and the lively markets. Possible evening cultural dance show.
Day 12: Heritage of Kandy
- Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a major Buddhist pilgrimage site.
- Explore the British-era Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya.
- Visit the British Garrison Cemetery and local crafts galleries.
Day 13: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (Hill Country)
- Explore colonial-era old post office, churches, and a tea estate in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 14: Nuwara Eliya to Galle
- Drive south to the historic city of Galle on the southern coast.
- Sunset walk along the 17th-century ramparts of Galle Fort, a World Heritage Site.
Day 15: Galle & Departure
- Morning exploring Galle’s cobbled streets, cafes, and museums.
- Travel back to Colombo for your flight, or continue relaxing along the coast.

- Cancellation made 21 days or more before the tour start date will receive a full refund without bank chargers.
- Cancellation made 14-21 days before the tour start date will receive 50% refund without bank chargers.
- Cancellation made 07-14 days before the tour start date will receive 25% refund without bank chargers.
- Cancellation made less than 07 days before the tour start date or no shows are non-refundable.
